“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3)
Here are the words to remember when it comes to solving problems: “What do you have?” We have a tendency to focus on: “What do you need?” and then go out and try to find it.
What if I were to tell you, “You already have what you need,” how would that make you feel? Empowered?
This is especially true when it comes to the body of Christ. God has gifted the body of Christ (the church) with multiple gifts. He has given apostles, prophets, evangelists and pastors and teachers to the church to equip all of you for the work of serving one another, and each of you in the body has received your own spiritual gift(s) to help you serve where needed.
So when it comes to the church, and specifically our church here at the Catch, it remains for us to lay out our gifts on the table and see what we have. It’s a given that whatever anyone needs, it will be there. That’s the remarkable way God has set it up.
So tell us what you need. Click on the prayer request button below and let us know what you need, and then join us on Wednesday nights to help discover your gift(s) and how you can serve others who have needs.
We are in the process of discovering what we have already available in the body of Christ. We have you. And you can serve and be served as we discover who you are. We eagerly await your participation.
Yes, the church already has what it needs. It has you!
