You are an influencer if:
you want to make a difference in somebody’s life;
you have a gift and you want to use it;
you want to be found doing the will of God when the Lord comes back;
you want to make right what’s gone wrong;
you want people to feel like they’ve been with the Lord when they’ve been with you;
you want everyone to know that the grace that has been bestowed upon you is available to them, too;
and, finally, you are an influencer if you are reading this right now!
That’s right: you are an influencer.
Marti and I were talking about doing some Catches honoring some of the key influencers especially at the start of The Catch Ministry, when we suddenly realized you were all influencers, otherwise you wouldn’t be remotely interested in getting or keeping up with the Catch. Am I right? Check that list above one more time. Isn’t that you? If it’s not, you would have deleted me long ago.
It’s pretty simple. You are an influencer because Grace Turned Outward resonates with you. You realized, as soon as you got it, that grace is not just for you. As soon as you received the grace of God, something happened to you. It happens to everyone who gets it. You suddenly want everyone to have it. That is the true nature of grace. It’s like the eternal life that Jesus said was like a well of water springing up from within. Once it springs up, it has nowhere to go but to bubble over and splash on everyone else. Because of what we are all about here at the Catch, if you are in this community, you are an influencer, and what we do every day is learn how to walk alongside others, and how to do it better.
So yes, you are an influencer, and as such, we honor you. Indeed, here is a comment that proves it from John, one of our Catch citizens two days ago, after reading our post about Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego.
When I first heard of the Catch’s money shortage, I was concerned there would no longer be a daily Catch. Then I was concerned that if there is one, all you would be doing is ask for money every day. Both of these concerns, I now admit are selfish. I benefit from the daily Catch, but I’m sure the ministries you have going on for people in need in so many countries are more important.
Since this problem arose you have handled it with more tact, and faith and humility than many in your situation might have. Today’s Catch is a great example. It’s message spoke to me. I have wrestled with whether or not to make a donation. You see my finances are tight to the point where I’ve become very concerned about my future. But I’ve put my trust in God and am living one day at a time. There have been times in my past when I was in a financial crisis but God helped me find ways out. Yes I’ve been through the fire just like Shad, Shack and Nego.
So I’ve just made my donation of $77. In the long run it won’t hurt me and I pray it helps you. I also pray I can inspire others as you have inspired me. We can get over this mountain.
See what I mean? John is an influencer. He’s figured out something and he’s sharing it with you. He’s experienced a new freedom, and he’s eager for you to walk in it as well.
So if John inspires you, CLICK HERE is where you can give. We will be reporting later today on how far we are to goal, but we still have a ways to go. Thank you to all who have given already. Look how our list is growing!
